Recently, Signal Hill Petroleum donated $15,000 to benefit the boys served by R.M. Pyles Boys Camp.

The annual Pyles BBQ has been a major source of funding for the boys of Pyles Camp for more than 60 years! We expect 3,000 attendees this year. Will you join us in 2020?

Tug-of-War at R.M. Pyles Boys Camp has been taking place for decades. This simple activity offers more than meets the eye, however.

PYLES RELIES ON THE GENEROSITY OF SO MANY TO MAKE OUR PROGRAM SUCCESSFUL. FROM TIME TO TIME WE COMPILE A WISH LIST OF ITEMS THAT WILL ENHANCE OUR PROGRAM, AND ASK THAT YOU MIGHT SHARE THIS WITH FOLKS WHO ARE IN A POSITION TO HELP!

The pivotal point in my life was the summer of 2013. I attended R.M Pyles Boys Camp.

In part, one could say that my passion for, and longevity with Pyles Camp was inherited from my Dad, Lee McFarland, a pioneer California independent oil man and an acquaintance of Mr. Bob Pyles. Lee served as a Board Member of the Camp for nearly 20 years until his passing in 1994. I then accepted the responsibility of Directorship and have served for the last 25 years

Former campers from R.M. Pyles Boys Camp, a multi-year summer outdoor wilderness combined with year-round mentoring, last week celebrated academic milestones within higher education.

Modeled after the signing ceremonies used for athletes committing to colleges, Pyles held its second annual “Senior Signing Day,” in Long Beach on April 28, 2019.

I have reached many milestones, faced many adversities and tragedies, and accomplished many dreams in my life.  Tasks which would never have been possible without the teachings, guidance, faith, encouragement, support and work ethic instilled during my time with Pyles Boys Camp.
