North American Camp Trust Invests in the Future of Young Men Through Outdoor Education

At R.M. Pyles Boys Camp, we believe in the transformative power of the wilderness—an environment where young men build confidence, resilience, and leadership skills that last a lifetime. Thanks to the generous support of the North American Camp Trust, we are excited to share that Pyles Camp has received a $20,000 grant to help send boys to camp this summer! None of the boys who attend Pyles pay for their experience or the year-round mentorship that follows.

Impact of the Grant
This funding will directly support six campers, covering their full sponsorship ($3,500 per boy) and allowing them to experience 12 days of immersive outdoor education, mentorship, and personal growth. For many of these young men, this will be their first time experiencing the beauty of nature, hiking through remote wilderness, and learning the values of teamwork and perseverance. In addition to this outdoor educational experience focused on creating future leaders—-Pyles will continue to mentor these youth throughout the year with local reunions focused on giving back to the community and having fun!

Our program is designed to empower underserved youth, providing them with the skills and mentorship they need to become leaders in their communities. From guided hikes and survival skills to problem-solving challenges and character-building activities, each camper leaves Pyles with a renewed sense of confidence and purpose. In addition to our summer program, this grant will allow us to continue our year-round mentorship program where we restrengthen the bonds and positive behaviors forged during the summer.
